Abstract Submission for the
Global Virtual Exchange Summit 2025: Empowering Future Leaders in an Interconnected World 
 
Co-organised by the Virtual Exchange Centre (VEC) and the Research Management Office (RMO) at the School of Continuing Education, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU SCE), the Global Virtual Exchange Summit 2025: Empowering Future Leaders in an Interconnected World will be held in hybrid mode (online and offline in Hong Kong) on 8 and 9 July 2025.
 
The Summit aims to provide a dynamic platform for thought-provoking discussions, innovative research, and collaborative solutions that address the evolving challenges and opportunities of leadership in the 21st century. The Summit will feature talks by leading academics from around the world as well as presentations related to the five conference themes. The language of the Summit will be English, and all presentation sessions will be recorded. We welcome abstracts from academics, researchers, professionals, and students, and particularly encourage submissions from early-career researchers. The Summit will not require a registration fee.

1. Quality Intercultural Education for Future-Ready Graduates
2. Digital competencies for Future Leaders
3. Global Citizenship in Interconnected World
4. Virtual Exchange for Public Health Engagement and Sustainable Action
5. Cross-Cultural Industry Engagement for Next Generation (this session includes roundtable discussions)

Session Format
1. Individual Speaker Presentation: 15 minutes
2. Open Debate and Discussion with Speakers: 15 - 20 minutes

Abstract Preparation
1. Abstract should be written in English and should not exceed 300 words double-spaced, excluding the title and keywords.
2. Abstract should be well-written and logically organized.
3. Abstract should not contain any author information. A separate title page with author information is required.
4. An individual may present in a maximum of three sessions.
5. While we will make efforts to accommodate presenters from different time zones, we cannot guarantee a particular session time.
6. Abstract should contain concise statements of:
   (a) Background: Objectives, or problems being addressed
   (b) Methodology: Study design, data collection, and analytical approaches employed
   (c) Results: Key findings of the study
   (d) Conclusion: Significance of the findings and insights into the future implications

Abstract Review
All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Authors will be notified in time for their preparation of the presentation. Abstract will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
   (a) Originality of ideas or approach
   (b) Relevance to the conference themes
   (c) Quality of the theory and/or arguments
   (d) Coherence and clarity of structure and thought
   (e) Significance of the work
 
Declaration
By submitting abstract, the authors confirmed that (i) they give consent for their abstract and authorship details (for all authors of a paper) to feature in the conference-related materials; (ii) their contributions are not being considered for publication elsewhere; (iii) the abstract submitted contain no third-party copyright content; and (iv) their presentations to be recorded and used in the conference related materials.

By proceeding, I acknowledge the above conditions, as well as the Summit may be recorded and the attendance record and data may be further used in documentation.
