HKBU Skilled Volunteer Cadre (HKBUSVC) is a holistic programme for nurturing students into servant leaders. Through the programme, students will be able to learn different core skills (eg. balloon twisting, kayaking, etc.) in order to deliver innovative service. By addressing the needs of the community, it is hoped that students will develop empathetic minds with keen concern to the society.
Six programmes below are designed under the HKBUSVC:
1/ WonderKnots: Balloon Twisting for Delivering Happiness
2/ Be a Barista: Blend the Coffee with Service
3/ Kayak for Marine Service
4/ Miracles in the Community through Magic
5/ Japanese Nagomi Pastel Art x Christmas Cards for the Children
6/ Beauty Transformation for the Elderly
Language: Cantonese*
Fee: FREE + HK$700 refundable deposit*
* Owing to language constraints of the service recipients, students must be able to comprehend Cantonese in some of the programmes.
* Refundable upon full-attendance of all the trainings and services with satisfactory performance
* HK$2000 refundable deposit for 'Japanese Nagomi Pastel Art Christmas Cards for the Children'
